5 Reasons To Consider A Weekday Wedding or Elopement in Montana

Weekday weddings are becoming more and more popular and for good reason (especially if you are trying to keep things budget friendly). Here are 5 reasons why I think a weekday wedding is something to consider when you are wedding planning in beautiful Western Montana.

Availability of Venues & Vendors

Most wedding venues and vendors are booked on weekends. Your favorite vendors are more likely to have availability during the week and even better... they may be cheaper for a weekday wedding or elopement in Montana (For example, I offer a discount for my weekday wedding & elopement photography packages). Montana has become a hot spot for weddings in the past few years which means vendors fill up fast on the weekends. If you have your eye set on a venue but realize your date is taken, consider moving it to a weekday (and ask if there is a discount for weekday events).

Transportation & Accommodations For Guests

Finding a hotel at a reasonable price over the weekend in Montana is becoming a rare gem these days. Lucky for those that choose to have a weekday wedding, most hotels have rooms available and at a cheaper rate midweek. The same goes for flights with major airlines for those guests traveling from out of state.

Avoid Double Commitments

It's amazing how many weddings happen in Montana during the Summer months. Because our Summers in Montana are so beautiful but short lived, you may have guests that get invited to multiple weddings on the same day. With Saturdays being the most popular wedding day of the week, your guests will have to choose between which wedding they will attend. By having a weekday wedding, they can attend multiple weddings in the same week and be able to celebrate your big day with you.

Your Guests Get A Day Off Work

I know you probably are worried your guests won't want to take off work to attend your wedding, but I would venture to guess that's not the case. If you plan your wedding on a Monday or Friday, your guests will get a long weekend.. and who doesn't love that? Don't worry about what others might think, they may just thank you for giving them a great excuse to take a day off work and have fun celebrating your marriage.

Less Crowded & More Private Locations

If you are planning an outdoor ceremony at Glacier National Park or one of the other GORGEOUS places in Western Montana, you will likely have more privacy on a weekday when tourism isn't at it's peak. Saturday and Sundays at these places are where you will see the most people. Having your wedding or elopement during the week can give you a more intimate feeling for you and your guests depending on your location choice.

I may be biased (I had my wedding on a Monday), but if you are looking for a more private, budget friendly, and smoother wedding day planning & celebration, consider having your wedding or elopement during the week.

With Love,
