Family Photos+Surprise Proposal

A Family Affair

When the mother of the bride-to-be inquired about a family photo session outside of Missoula, Montana, I was grateful for the opportunity. BUT....

when she asked me to help with the proposal during the family shoot for her daughter, my excitement hit a whole new level.

To be a part of something so big in someone's life is an honor.

How We Pulled It Off

During the family session, I took E+A to get a few couple's photos away from where they could see the family. While we were gone, my husband helped the rest of the family figure out where they would stand & get the signs organized. When the time was right, I told E+A that I needed to run and grab my flash for a few more pics of them. I wasn't going to get my flash, but instead ran back to the family to make sure they were ready to go!

More Photos + Getting Things In Place

When I got the go ahead from the hubs and the family, I invited E+A back towards the river. The family kept the signs hidden and just pretended to hang out by the river until I had the couple setup for some more photos facing away from the fam (see photo of the chaos going on in the back).

After I could see in my periphery that everyone was in their spot holding their sign, I slowly turned the couple around while taking photos of her reaction and the proposal. It was a BEAUTIFUL MONTANA MOMENT!

CONGRATULATIONS E+A
