Great Activity For All Ages
The building itself was the first thing that caught my attention; very modern and beautiful. As I entered the butterfly house, it was like walking into a butterfly paradise. I brought my camera to capture some macro shots, but I also took advantage of the seating inside. A great place to relax and watch the butterflies play.
As I was wandering around the butterfly house, one of the staff members brought out a tarantula from the insectarium. I can't recall her name, but I had the opportunity to hold her (pictured below). It typically wouldn't be my cup of tea to hold a giant spider, but I took advantage of the offer.
I would highly recommend the Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium to visitors and locals who are looking for a fun activity indoors in between those summer days out in the sun.
